Kostas Tsimikas ‘making progress’ on adapting to Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool tactics despite playing just FIVE MINUTES of Premier League football in his first season… but has ‘struck up a friendship with Mohamed Salah’
- Liverpool’s summer signing Kostas Tsimikas is ‘making progress’ at the club

- Tsimikas has struck up a good friendship with Liverpool talisman Mo Salah
The Greek international joined the Premier League champions last summer in an £11million move from Olympiacos. The left-back has not made much of an impact on the pitch since his arrival at Anfield.
Tsimikas has taken some time to adjust to Jurgen Klopp’s expectations from his flying full-backs and, via the Athletic, admitted back in January: ‘In the beginning, it was a little bit difficult to understand the way they play.

‘But now, after a lot of months, I know exactly what the coach wants and the plan he has.’
The 24-year-old has been and will continue to be patient for his opportunities in the Liverpool side playing second fiddle to the likes of Andy Robertson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and even James Milner at full back.
But, according to the report, he is ‘making progress’ on the training field under Klopp and building his knowledge of how to play the position in the Reds’ fast-paced style of football.
The German tactician has a habit of giving players plenty of time to bed into his system before utilising them.

Naby Keita is just one prime example of how Klopp plays it careful with a signing until he feels they are fully integrated in his squad on and off the field.
He has also made himself a well-liked figure in the dressing room and has struck up a friendship with club talisman Mohamed Salah.
The left-back has played just five minutes in the Premier League this season after he featured against Manchester City in their 4-1 defeat at Anfield.
A thigh injury and knee problems have made it even more difficult for Tsimikas to forge his way into Klopp’s plans, having played 130 minutes of Champions League football since his arrival.
