United States Grand Prix 2019 LIVE: Latest updates as Lewis Hamilton aims to wrap up sixth world title in Texas

Lewis Hamilton will be looking to secure his sixth F1 world championship when he starts from fifth on the grid for the United States Grand Prix.

Despite a poor qualifying session at the Circuit of the Americas, the Brit is on course to retain his title as he needs just eighth place to secure the four points needed to pull out of reach of his last remaining title rival Valtteri Bottas.

Bottas has to win (and rely on a catastrophic race for Hamilton) to have any chance of taking the title fight to Brazil but does start on pole position ahead of Sebastian Vettel and Max Verstappen.
