REVEALED: Romelu Lukaku begged Alexis Sanchez to join him in ‘beautiful, elegant’ Milan as Inter now DROP their interest in Juve’s Pablo Dybala
- Inter Milan have finally got their man after agreeing to loan Alexis Sanchez
- The Italians have not taken up an obligation to buy as part of the deal
- Romelu Lukaku has played a huge role in getting Sanchez to the San Siro
- Inter have now dropped all interest in Juventus’ Paulo Dybala as a result
Inter have now pulled off the switch they have been pursing all summer, and will sign Sanchez on loan for the duration of the season without the option to buy.
And Sportsmail can reveal Lukaku had initiated numerous telephone conversations with Sanchez, telling him the beauty of Milan and the immediate impression the area has had upon him.
Lukaku sold the vision to the Chilean how his new neighbourhood is much more elegant and livable than Manchester, enticing the player to repeatedly request the transfer be concluded.
As a result of securing their desired target Sanchez, Inter have therefore abandoned all interest in Juventus star Paulo Dybala.
Inter were among the teams linked with the Argentine after Juve made clear their willingness to move him on this summer.
Inter chief Beppe Marotta had outlined in his plans that Dybala and Sanchez play a similar role, leaving the club to decide on which of the South American superstars to more aggressively pursue.
Antonio Conte will now however focus on his forward pairing of Sanchez and Lukaku, and hope the former United duo can rekindle a partnership and fire on all cyclinders.
Inter have saved a considerable amount of money with the Sanchez deal, with United still footing part of the player’s lucrative salary with no guarantee of receiving a transfer fee pay-out at the end of the campaign.
The Italian giants will be paying their share of around £6million to Sanchez for his season spent with the club.
Conte is said to have expressed to the Inter hierarchy a confidence at rediscovering the best of Sanchez, despite the player now being 30-years-old.
Prior to switching to United, Sanchez was without doubt one of the best players in the Premier League and was largely responsible for winning games for his former club Arsenal all by himself.
