A club representative of Ostersunds told SVT Sport: ‘We have no contact with him anymore, he packed up his things when it was summer vacation and nothing speaks for him coming back.’
‘He has been injured a lot, which has been difficult for the club and for himself. He couldn’t do himself justice.’
Morrison, who once played for England’s youth teams, is still under contract until the end of the month but the club haven’t heard from him or seen him since his departure.
Morrison has failed to get his career back on track ever since leaving the Premier League following a spell in London with West Ham between 2012-15.
During his time at West Ham, the Englishman had very brief loan stints at Birmingham, Queens Park Rangers and Cardiff, before he eventually signed for Lazio.

Morrison was once regarded as the biggest English talent out there when he started off his career at United, with legendary United manager Sir Alex Ferguson labelling him as ‘the best kid you will ever see.’
He only made three appearances for United’s first team as unfortunately concerns grew about his attitude, which has seen him get into trouble off the field in the past.
The 26-year-old admitted he moved to Sweden to ‘rebuild’ himself after a number of off-field transgressions overshadowed his career.
‘I’ve come here to rebuild myself really. I want to enjoy it and enjoy football again and win everything we can,’ Morrison said upon joining.
‘It’s exciting and I’m really looking forward to everything that’s in front of me.’
