One Twitter user predicted Mbappe will score his 400th career goal at the age of 26
Fans believe Mbappe, at the tender age of 20, is more prolific than both Messi and Ronaldo were at the same age.
Ugwuoko Victory said ‘surely 700 by 34’ while Thee Lawd wrote ‘he’s probably at the same level as 20 year old Ronaldo and that’s crazy. He will be the goat when he retires’.
Ivan Fernandez predicted he will score 400 goals at the age of 26 if he continues his impressive goalscoring record.
He tweeted after France’s 4-0 win: ‘100 goals = 20 years, 200 goals = 22?, 300 goals = 24?, 400 goals = 26? etc.’
Mbappe hinted he could leave PSG this summer as he said at an awards ceremony that he may need to start a ‘new project’.
He said in May: ‘I have discovered a lot here, and I feel it is maybe the moment to have more responsibility.
‘I hope that can perhaps be at Paris St Germain, that would be a great pleasure. Or maybe elsewhere with a new project.’
Mbappe has already won three Ligue 1 titles, one French Cup, one French League Cup and a World Cup.
