His presence at the Europa League final against Arsenal fueled speculation over the future of boss Maurizio Sarri.

Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck was spotted meeting with Juve counterpart Andrea Agnelli in the club’s team hotel before the game.

Agnelli is in Baku on UEFA business but Italian outlet Tuttosport say that the pair also met to discuss Sarri’s future.

They add that Sarri and Agnelli met in the five-star Four Seasons hotel, but the moment wasn’t captured on camera.

Juventus want to hire Sarri following the departure of Max Allegri. The Blues boss is aware of Juve’s offer and is known to be tempted by the opportunity to work in Turin.

And the Serie A club are increasingly confident of luring Sarri back to Italy to the point where they have informed players to expect the 60-year-old to be in charge next term.
