Canada snatched a 1-0 away victory against England on Friday thanks to a late winner from captain Christine Sinclair.
England were frustrated throughout the match and were especially dominant in the second half but Sinclair stepped up and slotted home the surprise winner in the 81st minute in Manchester.
Sinclair, who netted her 180th goal for Canada, had time to control and strike home inside the area after Karen Bardsley brilliantly tipped Nichelle Prince’s fierce effort onto the crossbar.
