Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has hailed Ruben Loftus-Cheek – stating that the midfielder can ‘become one of the best in Europe’.
The England international was handed a rare start by Sarri on Thursday night and took his chance as Chelsea romped to a 5-0 win at Dynamo Kiev in the second leg of their Europa League last-16 tie.
And speaking after the match, Sarri only had positive words for Chelsea’s No 12.

‘He’s improving. In the last month he’s been great in training,’ he said.
‘He’s improving every day and I’m really happy that he was able to play for 90 mins.
‘His potential is very, very high. Physically and tactically he is improving. He can become one of the best in Europe.’
Chelsea’s 8-0 aggregate win over Kiev means they are now in the hat for Friday’s quarter-final draw.
And Sarri hopes to avoid his former club Napoli, who he left Chelsea for last summer.

The 60-year-old is keen to dodge what he believes would be a difficult return to his homeland and delay a potential reunion until the climax of the tournament on May 29 in Baku.
‘I prefer to face them in the final. First of all, because it means we are in the final and I am happy with that,’ said Sarri.
‘And second, it means that Naples are in the final, and I am happy.
‘You know very well my relationship with the city, with the people.
‘So, for me, it will be very difficult to play against them in Naples.’
